On the occasion of 6th Alumni Day Celebration, Gujarat Vidyapith Computer Science Alumni Association (GVPCSAA) organized a session on “Cyber Security – Critical for Growth of Digital India” under the aegis of Department of Computer Science, Gujarat Vidyapith on 10th January, 2019 to create awareness about cyber security and Cyber-Crime among students, faculty members and other stake holders from the society. There were more than 150 participants who attended the session including students, faculty members, Head and Dean of the different department of the Gujarat Vidyapith, Alumni members, Citizens and parents.
Welcome speech was given by Ms. Alpa Shah, an alumni member of GVPCSAA. She had introduced all the distinguished speakers of the session and graced them with “Sutar Aanti”. This noble task was supported by Dr. Rajdeepsinh Jhala (Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber-Crime, Ahmedabad) and Dr. Parag H. Rughani, Associate Professor, Gujarat Forensic Science University, Gandhinagar.
Dr. Rajdeepsinh Jhala discussed and shared interesting details of few registered cases of Cyber-Crime happened and their investigation process of solving the same. Dr. Parag H. Rughani discussed many aspects related to cyber security along with causes and its remedy. The presence of visionary and eminent vice-chancellor of Gujarat Vidyapith Prof. (Dr.) Anamikbhai Shah was added advantage to the event. The program was ended with vote of thanks by Hardik Shah, Secretary, GVPCSAA.
