“If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children”. Another wonderful event had been started on 20th December 2013 by GVPCSAA in association with Computer Science Department, keeping above quote of Mahatma Gandhi in mind. The event was “Judicious use of Electronic Gadgets and Internet”.

In the present time the introduction of modern technological gadgets and Internet has captured the attention of global population mainly of the growing countries like India. The dependency of people on these technological gadgets and services provided by these electronics gadgets are increasing enor-mously. The degree of dependency is leading to addiction of the electronic gadgets and internet. Kids and Youth are the most vulnerable group among the population to be addicted to electronic gadgets and internet.

Considering this GVPCSAA kept main objective of an event to make school students and civilians aware of the right use of Electronic gadgets and Internet. As a part of this program a former Gujarat Vidyapith student from MCA batch 2001, Mr.Nilesh Gol who is associated with Designmet Solution, guided MCA and DCA students for preparing effective power point presentation. This presentation was used by MCA/DCA students, faculty members and alumni members to educate approximately 10,000 children of over 25 schools and institutions and made them aware of right and effective use of electronic devices and eth-ical use of internet. The same point was highlighted and discussed on GVPCSAA organized 1st Alumni Day Celebrated on 10th January 2014. This was a small way by which GVPCSAA is trying to make difference in a society to educate children and youth for the right usage of gadgets and internet.
